Who this is
zurnov.com is a personal portfolio site run by me, Dimitar Zurnov. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and how you can control it. Questions or requests about any of this can go to [email protected].
Analytics
I use PostHog to see how many people visit this site and which pages get read. That's it — pageview counts, not screen recordings, keystroke capture, or form-content tracking. Analytics is disabled outright at the code level for anything beyond pageviews, regardless of what my PostHog project's own dashboard settings allow.
Nothing is sent to PostHog until you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, or simply don't respond, no analytics event is ever captured for that visit.
What's collected, if you accept
- The pages you visit on this site.
- A randomly generated identifier stored in your browser (cookie and local storage), so pageviews across one visit can be grouped together.
- Technical context PostHog derives automatically: browser, OS, device type, approximate location at country/city level from your IP address, and the site that referred you here.
No name, email address, or other information that identifies you personally is collected through analytics.
Where it's processed
My PostHog project runs on PostHog Cloud's EU servers, so analytics data is processed within the EU. PostHog acts as my data processor for this; see PostHog's own privacy policy for how they handle it.
Legal basis and retention
The legal basis for this processing is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) — given by accepting the cookie banner, and withdrawable at any time (see below). Data is kept only as long as my PostHog project's configured retention period allows, and no longer than needed to understand visit trends over time.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the data held about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting past processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Bulgaria, the Commission for Personal Data Protection.
To exercise any of these, write to [email protected].
Manage your cookie preferences
Change your mind at any point — this clears your stored choice and reloads the page, showing the cookie banner again.
